Man of La Mancha is one of the world’s most popular musicals. Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ 17th-century masterwork Don Quixote and set during the Spanish Inquisition, the original 1965 production won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Cervantes is in prison awaiting trial during the Spanish Inquisition. He and his fellow prisoners perform a play-within-a-play, telling the story of the elderly Alonso Quijana, who renames himself “Don Quixote” and goes on a quest to right all wrongs in the world. The rousing, Spanish-inflected score includes the classic numbers “The Impossible Dream,” “I, Don Quixote,” “Dulcinea,” “I Really Like Him” and “Little Bird.”

Once again we’re offering Tiered Ticketing
The $45 ticket helps to sustain Village Players shows in addition to covering costs including heating/cooling, cleaning, repairs, insurance and general upkeep of the building. The $25 ticket pays for the current show costs including costumes, publicity, scenery, scripts, sheet music, musicians and props. We’re also offering a $10 ticket that contributes to the current show while keeping ticket prices at a minimum. We hope this price keeps prices affordable for our community. The different ticket levels do not give you different seats–they are just different ways to support the theater.
Standard price, $25, tickets will be available at Black’s Paper and Gifts in Wolfeboro in late September.
If you need special seating or handicap access, please let us know at tickets@village-players.com or 603-569-9656. Ticket sales close 2 hours before performances, but tickets will be available at the door, starting 1 hour before the performance.
